Got a question about trailer brake control, the stupid thing has a mind of it's own. the thing won't work when the brakes are applied but then it will start going on by it self and locking up the brakes:--) replaced the unit and rewired the whole thing all the way to the brakes!the only thing from dodge i used was the hot wire and the stop light wire. every thing else is mine. still no good, can power the brakes at the trailer and they work. any suggestions??

I had the same thing happen when I first bought my 16' flatbed. I took it right back to the trailer sales, and they changed one wire around in the jct. box under the trailer. They said Dodge used a different ground wire location in the plug, but that's all I know about it. It works fine now.
