Ok... winter is looking like it might break and I’m ready to go camping.

We’re looking at adding a few things to the new to us 5er. A TPMS and digital level are at the top of the list.

These are the 2 we’re looking at. Any experience with either? Or other recommendations?

LogicBlue Technology LevelMatePRO Wireless Vehicle Leveling System Amazon product ASIN B01FGGSWPW
TireMinder A1A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with 4 Transmitters for RVs, MotorHomes, 5th Wheels, Motor Coaches and Trailers Amazon product ASIN B00UXG5LU0

Any other fun trailer gadgets y’all like?

TPMS I just ordered a new set of sensors for my Dill internal system. Same type sensor as pass car but adds internal temp. I installed the remote antenna under the body and mounted near hitch, magnetic. Many will opinion it's too much of a hassel, need to break down tire to install. Agreed needs breakdown. But in 2014 Discount Tire sold me the wheels, tires and TPMS and includes rebalancing. I'm taking tires for rebalance and asked if they'd install new sensors, yes we will. so new sensor is $28 each. I'll do the wheel R&R. I like the idea of internal temp, it saved my butt one day picked up a wheel getting hot from sticking disc brake pad.

IR temp gun.

I also carry spares of some electrical stuff, spare 30A male plug, 7 way plug mostly for the other guy in camp that's all thumbs, just picked up a trailer 30A receptacle too, just added some Pex Lock clamps to tool box for PEX repairs no special tools required, good selection of hand tools, I use the jack from a 1 ton PU to lift Airstream easy peasy if any tire work required.

I enjoy my cast iron and Coleman stove and lanterns stuff, sorta gadgets.

I don’t mine the breaking down of tires, but I want to stick with external sensors so I can move them between trailers.

When we get a ATV trailer and double tow I’ll get a 2nd set of 4 sensors.

Just be careful with the external sensors. I've read quite a few comments over on the RV board that I moderate about valve stem failures using the external ones. There are lots of theories, extra flex due to the added weight of the sensor, the sensor itself failing and airing down the tire etc. Either way, the failure rate seems to be much greater with the external ones.

Interesting, I hadn’t read any of that. I’ll look into it some more. I know the tire minder system came highly recommended on the ORV forum I’ve been on.

I use the tst Tpms unit. Been happy with it for about 10 k miles on trailer. I did switch to all metal stems. as far as levels I just have a couple stuck on the trailer one each direction not high tech at all but certainly works

I totally agree about the external sensors which is why went with the aftermarket Dill #1506/08/10 wireless TPMS with regular but high pressure INTERNAL sensors.

Mind you, Dill is original parts manufacturer for MANY oem TPMS systems and parts, but this is what they offer for a multi wheel retrofit.

It has worked flawlessly for me for both my truck without factory TPMS and the flatbed trailer that I pull.

@seafish some good info on you old thread, pics are dead if there were any but I especially found this useful, I have a small enclosed but really nice 7x14 trailer, I want to add the TPMS, and would not of thought to monitor the spares for the truck and trailer.

From your post....... using the 6 sensor set up I think that would be for a dually truck maybe.

"I can always use the 2 spare sensors to monitor up to 2 spare tires (one for the truck, one for the trailer)."

That is correct,,,the Dill 1510 monitor shows 6 wheels in a dually configuration and then 4 more for a trailer for a total of 10 tires. Since my truck is a SRW, I simply place the sensors so that the inside wheels picture on the monitor are for the spares.

I am using the TST TPMS with external sensors on both of my trailers. The interface is a bit clunky, but not too bad. The only real annoyance is when it is set up for multiple trailers it starts off looking for them for several minutes, then eventually figures out which trailer you are hooked up to, and just does its thing. The other annoyance was on sharp bumps or pavement heaves I have had the display jump off the mount several times. I ran a small screw into the slot to prevent it, now.

For leveling I just have a free bubble level app on my phone, and lay it on the stove or counter. Not nearly as convenient, but free.
