trailer ligh question with 2003 truck

truck has a seperate brake light & turn sig. Trailer has one bulb.



Right side works

left side dosen't



trailer tests ok - something in truck is bad. Does it have seperate fuses or relays for left & right side?

The fuse panel has separate circuits for the truck and for the trailer. . so that the trailer can use a common Stop/Turn circuit... .

The fuse panel also has separate left and right trailer circuits, so I can assume you either have a fuse out of the truck or a wiring problem in the trailer... .

If you take a test light... the left turn circuit is the 9 o'clock position on your trailer plug, turn on the left turn and test the plug... the 3 o'clock position on the trailer plug is the right turn... . you can make the same test to verify that the truck is fine...

If not fix the truck, if its OK, fix the trailer. .
