I just recently got a barely used 2015 2500. The other day I was taking my camper in for some service, and noticed the right side trailer lights weren't working on it, so I asked them to take a look at the lights on the camper. But, then today, I was pulling my flat trailer and noticed the same. Eventually, the light came on in my head... duh... the new truck is the common denominator. I looked closer, the low element light works (i.e. when the headlights are on on the truck), but the bright functions do not work (brake lights, turn signals). Hooked the flat trailer up to my old truck, and the lights are fine. So, clearly, something is wrong with the new truck. Anything stupid to check before I take it to the dealer?

Check your connector. Make sure the the pins are clean. You mite have to pull it apart to see if the pins/connections are clean inside the connector. The trailer lights connector should have a relay.

It was fuse F81. I would never guessed there is a different fuse for left and right and running lights and turn/stop. Now, let's just hope it's not a short in the truck that blew it and that it was something the previous owner hooked up to it.
