I get my wheel bearing seals from local RV dealer, I have tried automotive and industrial places and they are about three times as expensive. If it is a small trailer you might check Champion trailers web site. bg

Hello Larry,

Just got back this evening from a trip in the camper.
Does your H-R trailer use Dexter Axles? If so, go to any industrial bearing supply store and get them like the other guys have suggested. The Dexter Owner's Maunal that comes with the trailer should even give the part munber. If you don't have the book, "pop" a seal out and take it in for a sample. The local bearing store here carries all kinds of seals. Good luck!!

Hello Larry!
Seals and all types of bearings, ball, roller, tapered, etc. are normally industrial standard sizes. That is, all manufacturers of machinery use standard sizes on virtually any product they manufacture. There are few exceptions to this. A wheel seal for your trailer might be the same seal used on a shaft in some industrial pump, for example.
Check in the yellow pages for bearings. Any medium to large city will have at least one industrial bearing dealer who carries bearings and related parts, such as seals. It is possible they might have a listing on your trailer. If you can identify the make and model number of your axles they will probably have it listed that way. As a last resort, remove one of your seals and take it to them to identify.
While you are repacking your bearings identify them and record these numbers for future reference. If you use the trailer much you might want to carry a spare of each bearing number and a seal in the trailer for emergencies.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions, that is where I was checking, prices semed high though so I as looking for an alternative source. I have ordered from RV dealer, a little cheaper than the industrial supplier but more than I thought they would be.

My local non-affiliated auto parts store has been the cheapest for seals by far, they have always been able to come up with right one even on odd ball metric stuff. Many times seals are much more expensive than they seem they should be. For bearings and belts I've found Granger almost impossible to beat.

I picked up Dexter seals for $4. 25 each from a local Truck equipment shop (Six Robblees) and the bearing/seal warehouse wanted $4. 20 but they are out of the way.

try NAPA that is where I get my seals from.

There is 2 different inside diameters on the seals if you have 12 inch brakes. If is 10 inch brakes there is only 1. Try the seal on the spindle before you drive it into the drum. I have them all in stock. I dont't like to quote price on the TDR but they are 3. 78 ea.

LARRY: Things sure are expensive back East. I just bought Dexter seals at local Wheel Eqpt. dealer. List price each $4. 68,paid 3. 74.
I will ship you some if it will help you.

Seals are listed by bore size, shaft diameter and type. I bought my last set at Car Quest for cheap.
