Dad's ISB in motor home bites the dust

Do any of you have good sources for blueprints and/or component sources for gooseneck trailers? We are starting to think about building our own, not because we think we'll save significant $, but because we have ideas we may want to implement. Thanks in advance!

Try Southwest Wheel in Dallas. Plans, specs and great prices on everything but the steel. (They don't sell the steel)

torsion axles

I have found lots of spring axles, and some good sketches to help w/axle spacing, etc. Does anyone know where to find torsion axles, and more importantly at this point, layout sketches, or CAD files of the same? I want to design a trailer with an axle I can pick up when loaded light, a lock down when hauling heavy. Any help is much appreciated.

Here ya go Ray....

www.dexteraxle.com has product specs and the aforementioned dimensions on their site. Click on the Product Literature tab on the left side-lots of good info on the following pages.

I will be following this thread with great interest-at some future point here I'll be looking to build a big honking gooseneck (30+' deck, 2x10000 lb. axles) to pull behind the Silver Cloud. Pretty much has to be custom-made to get a high-enough neck to clear my toolboxes. I'm looking at some sort of a tilt/slide deck similar to a rollback for loading cars etc..... and maybe at some point a front-mounted knuckle boom picker for loading pipe etc. Might as well use the truck's capabilities for some hot-shot work on the side right?
