Anyone install the stealer's 7 pin trailer wiring harness with an aftermarket hitch? I bought my truck used with the camper package, not the trailer package. I have the wiring harness installed with an aftermarket Reese hitch, and im not sure where to mount the outlet piece. I have a decent circular ding in my bumper already (stone wall didn't get out of the way in time) I was thinking about drilling out a hole in it and mounting it there. Any other ideas?

Most parts houses and trailer supplies have a bracket that you can bolt to the bumper. On my Chevy I replaced one of the license plate lights with the connector.

I drilled the bumper and put it there. Looks pretty good. I went ahead and got a new plug ($13 from Walmart) and mounted it with stainless machine screws.

When pulling the tag-a-long I hate the factory mounted plug. I guess it is sideways for a reason. I hope I find out why one of these days.

I think that is turned sideways so that wiring harness to the back clears the hitch better. I have had to lengthen some trailer cables to work in tight left turns.
