Trailer plug?

After owning two previous Dodges with trailer tow group the brake controller hook up has always been the blue 4-pin plug to left of steering column. On 4. 5 600 it just isn’t there, many have looked with no results. Any suggestions other than a pair of wire cutters and some electrical tape?

Wonder if the complete harness was put in ? Just because it has the tow package doesn't mean the person putting it in did it right

Everyone on here is reporting that the plug is there, just absurdly high up and tied behind a wiring harness.



Get down there and look up with a flashlight. I haven't looked, but my truck came with the wiring harness that has to plug in somewhere.

Mine was clear up against the firewall left of column. If you look real hard you can see the tiewrap that needs cutting.

I found mine tucked behind the firewall insulation. Took me a good 20 minutes of twisting and turning to discover where it was. Keep looking you'll find it.

Plug

It's there.



Look on top of the big wire harness, that's where it is. It's held on with tape, I cut the tape and pulled it down. It has about 10" of play then, and it's easy to plug in then.

If you can't get to it, use a screw driver to unlock the keeper holding the harness up and pull the mess down.

Dodge wasn't thinking when they put this one together.
