Trailer Tow Mirrors?

Funny thing about them ferd mirrors, once they'er extended they don't ever go back to the retracted position like our Dodge's do. Seriously! Check out any ferd and you'll see they're always out!

I think the ferd guys are just too lazy to push them back in. Or perhaps they think that extending the "wings" will help them "fly" past the Cummin's that's pulling away from them??? Oo.

Sometimes to get your point across, ya gotta ruffle a few feathers. Seems like I succeeded. Not trying to start any name calling wars here, just letting everyone know how strongly I feel about this. Yes, there is room for improvement with the tow mirrors, but there is nothing better from anyhwere right now, at least that I've ever come across.

I see you have a new rig, how do you like it?

New?? In relative terms I guess, yeah it's new. 43k and counting. I like it. Kinda hard not to like a new truck. There's a few things I liked better about the '01 or could do without on the 04. 5, but overall it's a good truck. Despite all the negativity about fuel economy on the 600's, this one does just as good loaded as the '01 did, and the '01 had an EZ in it. Empty they're about the same, maybe a little less on this one but I don't hardly ever drive it very far without a trailer so I really don't know.

Be happy you have the trailer tow mirrors. I realized last week, when it was too late to change my order, that the build your own gizmo on the Dodge site doesn't even show them in the option list . Even though I went through it a dozen times I missed that fact when I gave my specs to the dealer. DUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH... now I have to buy them as an accessory... what a dope :{

I added a small adjustable angle spot under the factory one. I drive with the rear view mirrors, I mean I am always checking what is on each side and coming up from behind. Even with the factory spots I still had a hard time seeing the stupid little dark colored ricers that hide next to my passenger door under the mirrors. I have that small spot so that I can basically see straight down under the mirror. That $1. 49 spot has saved a couple of ricers and a lot of headache for me.
