Trailer tow mirrors...........

Don't forget the two screws in the door "grab" handle.

Changed out my mirrors for the tow mirrors,



1. remove 4 each screws (door handle, top FWD corner at mirror and two at the bottom of the door)



2. door handle (10 mm)



3. pull up to unhook door panel from door, disconnect electrical connections be careful of the power window, lock and mirror electrical connections.



4. remove 3 each nuts (10 mm) holding mirror on, make sure to hold the mirror just in-case the small white clip do not support the mirror.



5. with a pair of needle nose pliers squeeze clips together, remove mirror.



To re-install the new mirrors, just reverse the order, or the way you removed the door panel. remember to torque the bolts that hold the mirror on.



It took me 10 mins each side

hirschjn, Thanks, I was trying to remove the mirror without taking the door panel off. I didn't say I was a good mechanic! Now I have the picture and should be able to check the tightness of the nuts holding the mirror on. Thanks again, Hank

Anybody put aftermarket electric adjustable and heated mirrors on a 99? I heard it doesn't have the factory wireing, where's the best place to route it and pick up power? If anybody has, what did you get and how much? Towing is my main concern, so they have to extend.
