Trailer wheels/axles

OK, where to start? I bought a used trailer, got the brakes working, just not working well. Previous Owner just had brakes redone, and I guess they need adjusting. Where do I start? How can I identify the axle manufacturer to get torque specs on the hub nuts, etc?



Is there anything to watch out for regarding removal of the rims:

I don't want this thing to come flying off at me or anything. PO mentioned to reinstall the little rim tabs correctly, but what do I even torque the nuts down to on the rims?



I've considered getting new axles, but the funds are short, and these should work fine. I'll probably consider replacing them when the brakes and tires are shot.

Are those wheels 14. 5's? If so they are probably mobile home axles. Try checking with your local mobile home transporter for any info you need.
