2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission trailer wiring question

I was crawling under the truck today(nothing better to do),as I noticed a single wire marked "CHMSL" sticking out of the trailer plug harness about a foot above the plug,any ideas whats that all about????

Center High Mounted Stop Lamp... This is if you have a camper or shell that you need a lead for the additional stop lamp that you will find on most new campers and truck caps

That would be Centrally High Mounted Stop Light.

Where was this wire? I have a pickup camper that I think the law requires I add this CMHSL to.

On the left side just behind the rear axle there is a connector for the rear lighting. The wire comes out of the loom and has an end on it that looks like a butt-connector. It is marked CMHSL I think it is white with a tracer.
