Well I sent an email to 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers nearly two weeks ago asking bout shocks. Over a week later they reply no shocks available for my vehicle. (TrailMaster SSV).

Well I had gotten impatient waiting for the answer so I ordered them anyhow and they shipped the next day (free shipping).

So if anyone has them on their 2001 4x4 did you get #72670 and #72680??????? They show these shock part numbers in there DT22 suspension system???? So I am just slightly confised here.

Wondering if its for the stock height. or a lifted height? The Trailmasterwebsite only lists upto 99 model years.

I sent an email off to trailmaster... ... . but not sure when they will reply.

Thanks

Are those the silver ones? If so let me know how they ride... I had planned on buying those. Let me know which part numbers you got too... .

Thanks!

Chris

Those are the same PN's that I have on my invoice from when I bought mine. My friend I bought them from sells alot of Trailmaster stuff so I assumed he ordered me the right ones.

I am very interested to hear what you think of them over the 9000's.

Take care,

Ryan

Eric,

Out of curiosity, how come you are dumping the Ranchos? I'm actually looking to get new shocks for my truck here pretty soon.

Not only do mine feel like they are wearing out. . but I have this terrible squeaking up near that shocks that I am trying to eliminate.

Are the Trailmasters any better then the ranchos?

Heres what Trailmaster said :

Thank you for your email, those shock numbers are

correct for the 94-99. they are not recommended for the 2000 and up yet. It will probably be a few months before a shock is available. Thank you

Its raining right now so not sure when I will get a chance to see how well they fit or don't fit.

Yes these are the silver ones Trailmaster SSV

#72680 - Rear

#72670 - Front

Why am I changing? Well just to try something different... my Rancho's feel like they are worn out already... ... and since I never tow I don't need the adjustabilty of them.

Are they better? I don't know the answer yet. They most certainly "look" better tho visually..... in my opinion... for my tastes.
