Tranmission fluid mix

Did I screw up ?I had installed a tranmission gauge this weekend and lost about 3 quarts of transmission fliud, so I went up to Auto parts store and they told me that I needed ATF+4 synthetic oil so I put 3 quarts of Valvoline synthetic

ATF+4 oil in my transmission. Now my transmission seems slugish and shifts a LITTLE DIFFERENT. Is it my Imagination, or did I screw up? Please advise?

135,000 milies and the oil had around 30,000 on it.

Sounds like you may not have enough fluid in it. I use the Valvoline ATF+4 it works fine in my transmission w/only 70k.

The auto calls for ATF+4 you should be fine.
