trans change

i have an 03 with a 47 re would it be wise to change it to a 48re and are there any other changes i would have to do

A 48RE will bolt in with no changes. You gain a little bit in certain areas but its not a huge jump form a 47 to a 48. You can swap the 48RE parts into a 47if you want the heavier pieces and have essentially the same trans.

Seems like you would be better off with a good quality rebuild of your 47 rather than spending money on another whole trans.
