Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Trans code p-1740?

In regards to my previous post, trans problem , the trouble code in my truck is P 1740 . has enyone had this code before ? and if so what was the result ? or what causes this code to come up. my truck drives and feels normal, I cleared the code a few times but it keeps on coming back after a few hundred miles usually part throttle light load.

my truck is a 2000 4x4 2500 auto , turbo diesel with no upgrades

Yes the o/d works fine and i do feel the converter lock.

Any update? I just got the 1740, truck runs fine. Cleared code, will see if it comes back.
