My trans. cooling lines started to leak , there is a 6-8" rubber hose going under exhaust man , thats what I'm looking for , but I heard a while back some are using a better hose .
the question is does somebody have a source for these , or the sizes of the fittings so that I can make one and just put in , the problum I'm looking at is that its my only transpertation now and I'm am out of town inthe middle of winter without a garage , so I can'nt take apart and just make without the info to get parts then go home with them and install .
Thanks .

May need to have it special made, or buy a whole new cooler line. The new steel cooler line I put on that has the port for a sender, came with the new rubber hose.

Bought it fom the Dodge dealer. ~$100. The DC p/n for the cooler line w/port is 5011244AA.

If they have the correct fittings, a shop that makes up hydraulic lines should be able to make one up for you.

I actually believe he's referring to the hose that goes to the transmission/engine cooler heat exchanger. That is a hydraulic hose.

Mine was also leaking. I had it replaced with a line that did not have the check valve.

Ya , and where was that from???

Hydraulic return hose will work fine. It will stand far more pressure and temp that a trans will ever make! I have used it on MANY vehicles over the years without a single failure.

That is what I was talking about. The heat exchanger under the turbo. The transmission oil goes through it, before the cooler up in front of the radiator.

Talk about speaking of the devil and he appears- I just bought a truck with a new one of these in the back seat and I put it on Ebay and it ended last night. In fact I just returned from shipping it out to Phoenix. Had I been logging on everyday, I would have stopped the auction and overnighted it to you.
