OK, maybe this is a dumb question, but I'm getting ready to change my transmission fluid and I don't know if the NV4500s have a filter in them! Anyone? Also, I've looked at the various links, but haven't found any step-by-step instructions for doing this. Can anyone help me out with some instructions? I'm reasonably handy and have literally any tools I need (base auto hobby shop) including a lift so all I need is a little guidance. Feel free to email them to me to save some postings on the board. Thanks!

Joel,
The manual trannies don't have filters in them. You can order an after-market trans filter from Geno's if you want to put one on.
Changing the fluid is just like doing it on a rear differential...
Remove one of the PTO covers to drain the oil, then seal it up. Then fill it with oil up to the fill plug hole.

Joel, you don't need to remove the cover totally to drain, the fluid will come out one of the lower cover bolt holes when the bolt is removed also.
