The accumulator port ( middle plug on the passenger side ) check in drive at idle, stock should be around 65 lbs. You can also get a stall pressure at that port, brakes set in drive full throttle for a couple seconds should be about 95 lbs.

Not sure what your truck is, but I think the 24V trucks are supposed to be 60Psi. Over 65 and you get into a limp mode issue. I could be wrong. But he is correct on port location. You are supposed to use liquid filled gauges for the test ports. Here is one.

Thx for the replies. I need to find out the correct pressure. Not sure if I'd full throttle it with the brakes set. Yes it is a 24V, Edge Comp, exhaust etc. Trans has a bittett converter & valve body kit, running JD HY-Guard for fluid.

I just looked it up in my service manual and the factory specs are 54-60 at idle and 90-96 with the throttle valve lever fully advanced, your results my be higher if you have changed the valve body.

Not too sure if that fluid is approved for D/C transmission's

FIrst, I agree, I don't think that is the right fluid.

Second, You dont mash the throttle and breaks. You need to jack up the rear of the truck, chock the fronts GOOD, and put the truck in drive. at idle, I believe you need to manually move the TV lever to full forward and monitor line pressure rise and total pressure. Let us know what you wind up with. There are ways of adjusting it if need be.

To check the stall pressure you do "mash" the throttle and the brakes but only for a couple seconds, look it up in your service manual it's right there in black and white.

Let us know how that fluid works out for you, I certainly would not use it .

Good luck
