Scott,

Just got back home. . No need for overnight shipping if the order has not been placed. Just drop me a PM when you have it and I will make a trip over to pick it up.

Thanks, Jeff

Matt,

SK®48RE

NEW

03-06 48RE

HO Diesel & V10 You’ll hardly believe how powerful the shifts

can be without being bangy.

Reduces converter slip. Has Hi-Temp Low Shrink Rings.

I pasted the above from TransGo site. I have used these on car transmissions but never on a diesel.

the new transgo kits are well worth the money, they provide a smooth and progressive shift with out a hard bang into or out of gears

Does it get rid of the 1-2, 1-2 hunt under light pedal take off's?

Its awful on a slight incline where you are going slow on a back country road. . 1-2,1-2 and dang! pick a gear already will ya?!

Scott,

Great. . I could swing by either before or after work to pick it up. I was hoping others may had used the kit to recommend springs or size recommendations for what modifications the kit may have. I had seen a post from someone that used a similar kit on a model 47 and recommended all springs and drill sizes that the kit had choices on.

Have you sold any other of these kits? Any feedback?

Thanks, Jeff

The new Transgo 48 kits give very specific hole sizes and includes the necessary springs. You will not have to have any "recommended" input. You will find the kit will work awsome when installed exactly per instructions.

No, the kit will " help" but may not cure the 1-2 hunt. However that fix will be here soon. The problem on 05 and later is that the TV pressure is fly by wire via the TPS sensor. When adding more power now the TPS curve to vehicle speed is altered and the light throttle tv pressure curve is not where it should be from factory.

Mine has done that since new. I wonder if a Smarty would fix it?

Well. . Mass Diesel was as quick as one could ever ask in getting me a shift kit for my 48RE. . I spent today putting the kit in and all is well. It definitely took longer than I thought. Had most of my garage spread out with various pieces and bolts so all would go back together correctly. I took a quick drive after completing to confirm fluid level and it shifts well. The shifts are a little firmer but not harsh. I can tell by the RPM drops when it shifts. With the stock setup you would hardly even notice a RPM drop when shifting. A couple of holes to drill, some grinding and filing. Replaces many springs with much stronger springs.

Scott. . Thanks for the prompt parts and info and lets hear how the truck ran in Georgia. .

How hard of an install is this shift kit ? Anyone done it thierselves ? Thinkin about going this route until I can afford one of Dave`s trannies.

Same question's as 99 superduty, I'm trying to hold out on Dave's transmission for awhile (new baby on the way). Oo.

i dont know if they are included in the new tg kit but wade's new transmission came with a set of copper gaskets that eliminate cross leaks up to like 300psi, so far they are working and before some tuning wade had pressure over 250psi.

DWestfall,

Are you still running the Transgo? If so, what are your thoughts. I was thinking of installing one but was quoted much higher than $175. 00 ($450). The transmission guy said the kit was manufactured by Transgo but I didn't see any markings on the box indicating this. I now have 125K on the truck and have had the transmissioned serviced once. thanks

I found one on Ebay Item number: 170145485229; only $64. 95 - is this the kit everyone is talking about here?

I'd like to hear somebody chime in and let us know how its worked in the real world.
