Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) trans info

have any of you shimmed the trans kickdown cable where it snaps into the bracket at the throttle plate? I did this on my old ford f150 302 V8 4x4 to increase line pressure (made the trans think my foot was farther in it than it was) made for firmer shifts and better responce. Any sugestions? tia Ken

The cable can be adjusted. But, I would set it per factory instructions if you don't want to start getting screwy shifting going on.

the shifting is so soft and sluggish i am afraid it slips too much. any other sugestions to firm up the shifts? comp,valve body work, adjustment, line press? thanks
