The other day when changing the oil I noticed gear oil on the bottom of the bellhousing and transmission case. I called the dealer yesterday to make an appt. to get it taken care of. Now, two questions for you guys.
I haven't heard of anyone with a leaking input seal, is this a common thing? Is there a common cause I've missed here?
Also, I worried about the clutch. Since the oil appears to be coming through the little holes on the bottom of the bellhousing, that means the clutch could be oil soaked also. It's not slipping yet, but with the addition of a few bombs I'm planning to do soon it could. Then they'd blame the clutch failure on my bomb's, not the oil. Oh well, I guess that's why I bought a new truck with a warranty: So I could fix everything myself.
