I have a slow trans fluid leak at one of the fittings on the trans fluid to water ( coolant) primary cooler on the passenger side just below and behind the turbo (I have the auto). The Stealer tightened all of the fitting a week ago and advised that this would be the cure. I have done alittle research on the subject and found that the fittings just plain suck. One Stealer advised that there has been three updates to the fittings in recent years and they all leaked.
I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and what the fix was. My truck is still under warranty and I have found a dealer who is tolerant of minor upgrades to the my truck ( I posted a thread on a Stealer refusing to service my truck due to aftermarket air filter and SPA gauge).
I have an appointment in another week to take truck back to have the leak fixed (again) and like to have as much ammo when talking to the techs/service manager. I assume that if the fittings are a bad design or defective they would require replacement as opposed to torquing on them until they won't budge.
Thanks in advance, as always
