Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Trans lines?

I installed a trans temp gauge yesterday. I used the trans line with the temp. sending unit in it. I was not that impressed with the rubber part and I am a little worried about it rupturing. I removed the check ball from the fitting in the manifold and left the one in the rubber hose. I was thinking of making a braided line but now I would need another fitting for the manifold if i did that. Anyone have a better line?? I dont like getting stuck on the road!:{

DTT makes a hose that uses braided SS line without the check valve. You might want to give Bill a call. It's not expensive and it is built to last.
