Trans pan question

Hi boys I got a question for y'all. I just bought a mag-hytec pan and it has a gasket not an O ring seal. Also on the box it says 727 pan, before I get all bent over this i figured id ask. Is the normal ? 727 ? gasket instead of an O ring ??.

I believe its the same pan but to get the o/ring seal you need a FACTORY trans pan seal from the dealer.

My Mag Hytec 727 pan uses a regular gasket also. No big.

the gasket works perfect. Is it the thon black neoprene geaket?



the o ring seals are on the diff covers.

Not sure it looks like a normal gasket I guess it will work just fine.

The stock pan is the same design as the 727, just deeper. So when I put a double deep Mag-Hytec pan on the 47RE, I saved the old pan to put on one of my other mopar projects with a 727.

Install is very easy, just wipe the edge and use either gasket. Keep things clean. I used my old one. And I installed the trans temp probe, even though I don't have it hooked up to the gauge yet. Hope this helps.

Just to clarify, can you use the rubber gasket that comes with the stock pan for use on the Mag-Hytec pan?
