Trans popping out of Drive

hi all

on my 93 work truck i'm having an issue where i will be driving along and all of a sudden the trans pops out of D. it won't do it when it's in 2 though. is it just an adjustment in the linkage?

Or a bad motor mount.

Swap your engine mounts ($38 for the good ones, and it takes almost an hour to do. There is a good write up on the "other" website about this. ).



WE changed the mounts in Mom's truck, and it helped, but it still pops out of D on left turns when accelerating hard. I think there are some linkages that have worn their plastic bushings through 15 years.

one thing i failed to mention is that it seems worse when you are on an incline, but that's probably due to the fact that it has to pull harder?

i discovered that if i hold the shift lever when it's in D it won't pop out.
does it sound like a case of something worn in the linkage or an adjustment?
