Trans probe location

Just finished installing gauges but I am having trouble on where to put transmission probe got the compression fitting from diesel manor but the six speed auto lines are a little close together have been looking to install the probe in the lines under the intake horn but which one. closest to the block or the one closest to the fender which is return and supply anybody have any idea thx guys. looks like it will be a tight fit no matter where I put it.

I was told by a trans person to always put them in the output side before the cooler for the most accurate reading. Not sure how true or false that is. This is where the fluid should be the hottest

it has worked fine for me.

does the fluid go into the top and come out the bottom of the cooler or vise versa. sorry for the dum questions or is there an arrow to tell you what is what.

I am not 100% sure but I would think it goes from the trans to the top of the cooler like the engine coolant does then gets cooled by air flow and out the bottom it goes.
