Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Trans question 47Re vs 727

I need to get a trans shield that goes around my 47RE. I was told the the core of the 47re is the same as the 727. So will the trans shield for a chrysler 727 will fit a dodge 47RE. Thanks

I would think that it would fit. The 47RE is a 727 torqueflite with an OD unit bolted on.
