Competition Trans question 47RE vs 727

I need to get a trans shield that goes around my 47RE. I was told the the core of the 47re is the same as the 727. So will the trans shield for a chrysler 727 will fit a dodge 47RE. Thanks

the sheild for the 727 will work fine and is NHRA legal . I would shy away from a blancket on a street truck because it retains heat , and trans fluid . the CRS sheicd is the one I use on my ProFlite in my comp car , and it weighs about 1 lbs
