[From another site:]

I'm sitting in the lounge at Garmon's Diesel, after just coming back from test driving my truck with Jeff. The smell of burnt rubber in the air...
After about 20 months on the trans build and 60k miles (15k trailer towing), Jeff wanted to get in there and take a look at everything and make some updates. Swole and I were sitting on Jeff's porch Tuesday evening, and Jeff told me he thought it was time to get into my trans. "You think?" I said. "It's fine; not doing anything stupid and shifting good. " Jeff said, "Well, it's been a while and we've developed some new modifications. "
So, he offered me his truck to take home and go to work in. I came back today and Rick and Sticky were bolting the transmission back in. They changed the valve body to the latest mods, different apply lever, some other stuff, and put in a new converter. He said, "yours is fine, but I think you'll like this new one, so I threw it in. "
He was right. Lock up is slightly softer, and the fluid coupling rocks. It pulls less in D at a stop, but harder when it spins up. It was shifting good before and I had no complaints at all. Now it feels like it shifts quicker, but not any harder, if that makes sense.
If you need any transmission work - repair, rebuild, or complete build - do yourself a favor and call Garmon's before you spend any money. You won't go wrong with the product, and I don't think you'll find better customer service.
Ok, we're off to the track...

I live some 75 miles south of Jeff's shop and will most likely take my truck to him for transmission service and upgrades in the next five months or so. Jeff worked on my '01 ETH/DEE that I was super pleased with when I had a engine exhaust brake installed (by me).

Besides being a nice guy I trust Jeff and look forward to the transmission upgrades.
