I changed my filter last night and installed my mag-tech deep pan and replaced the fluid I drained with amsoil and the transmission seems to be slipping but I just towed my tractor and it seemed fine doing that but unloaded it seemed a little strange can someone describe what the truck would drive like with the transmission slipping and I also adjusted my bands like the manual said to what do you guys think?

I replaced my ATF with amsoil a couple of months ago when I replaced the filter and my transmission started to slip. I noticed that the transmission did not want catch when I put it into drive. I would rev it a little before it would catch. Then that stopped working, and I had to to put it in reverse and rev it, and then drive back a couple of feet before I could put in drive. The longer I let the truck sit the worse it got.

So, I took it to the dealer to have them looked at it. They told me my torque converter was bad, the front pump was dead, and it was leaking internally.

It seemed fine until I added the amsoil. And I was glad I did because I only have 10K left on my extended warranty. And I my extended warranty finally paid for itself. :D

same thing

What's up with this, I'm in the same situation. Just changed fluid & filter, and a few miles later, trans is slipping in low gear??? I am sold on Amsoil products, but don't understand this.

Back to Basics...

Hate to go back to basics here, did you ensure you fluid level is correct. I just changed mine and it would do the above symptoms when I parked on a hill. Put it in drive and nothing. Rev'd here up and she jumped in gear. check the fluid, and a tick low. Added 1/2 quart and off she goes!

I'm sure ya did, but who knows... .
