Trans Shudder???????

I just got back from a few trips with the truck and snowmobile trailer (13,500 lbs combined) and I felt the trans seemed to shudder a few times when accelerating in O. D. , (2000 4X4 QC Auto 275hp injectors, custom map sensor, (always reads 17. 5) boost up to 30 p. s. i. ) Is this shudder the tourque converter slipping in lock-up????DO I need a trip to the dealer for a warranty trans or what?????Any help appreciated...

what is th custom map sensor. One that you bought or made? Just wondering.

My guess is that you are right. It is proably the torque converter lockup clutch slipping. Mine slips too, but does not shudder. DDT will be taking care of mine shortly!

The Custom MAP sensor is a piece a friend made for me. It looks like a regular map sensor with some modifications and a relay hooked to it. I do not know what is involved in making it, I gave him $50. 00 and he plugged it in... , and showed me on his DRB how it worked...
