Hey folks well i got a question. today i was crusing down the road when i noticed something strange. while going up a long incline at around 60-64 the truck started bucking. it's not that it cuts out because the rpm stays constant and smooth, is feels like a jerking front to back. if you give it more or less it goes away but, at crusing throttle it bucks like crazy. any thoughts? truck is stock save for bhaf, straight pipe, 305's. it has 24k on it auto. I was also wondering if the infamous t/c unlocking at around 40-45 was a problem on 2002's i never noticed it before but now it drives me nuts.

Thankyou

Sounds like the TC. Dissconnect your batteries for 15 minutes and see if that helps. Sometimes it does and it the easiest fix. Do a search on TC unlocking/locking. There are many "fixes" but only a few really work. If all else fails try www.happibox.com

AH SOOooo Grasshopper - check on down the subject titles in this very forum for the "Hesitation with no codes" thread - then sit back and be puzzled like the rest of us... ;) :D :D

Here's a clue guys"

"it's not that it cuts out because the rpm stays constant and smooth, is feels like a jerking front to back. "

If the RPM "stays constant", doesn't look like it would be lock/unlock situation in the TC... ;)

Yeah it does the lock unlock thing also but this is new and i have never had the t/c unlock at 60+mph. i have tried the apps battery unhook thing and it helped with the t/c unlock for about 1-2 days. keep the ideas coming.

well i checked the transmission fluid and it was half way between the lines. I brought it back up to just above the full line and it seems to be helping. I can't belive that that little amount of fluid made such a big difference. hope thats all it was:confused:

Bill Kondolay has mentioned many times to me that it's a little better to "over fill" the 47RE.
