Hello All,

First post here, just got signed up last night.

I am in the process of installing gauges; boost, trans temp, and EGT. I have the Isspro gauges and was wondering where you all have hooked up to power. I am talking about the power lead from the control box that will reside under the dash. I have the lighting hooked up already. I am waiting on the cooler line from Diesel Manor that has the fitting for the sender. I did not want to tap the pan at this point. The gauge is in the pillar mount with light hooked up. Just wonder where you recommend tapping into power. The instructions from Geno's mention the cig ;ighter for power, but can't figure out how to get to it.

Thanks,

Brent

I would recommend doing a search on "NavyDood". He did an excellent right up on the gauge install, with pictures.

I'm going to install mine next weekend 1/27/07. I am using the instructions Diesel Manor sent along with the write up of "NavyDood". Which is a coincidence because I used to be in the Navy (way back when).

I chose the dash pod option though, but the guages are the same as yours.

Bhenn,

When I installed my Autometer boost guage (in an SRT10 pillar mount) I tapped the red wire that was part of the power pedal connector. My vehicle did not come with the power pedels, but the wiring was there, so I used a multi meter to confirm (1 There was power to that wire and 2 The power was "switched" with the "on" key position).

Keep in mind this wire will not provide dimming since there is no potentiometer connected to it. If you want dimming, then I suggest tapping the #3 orange and brown wire off your headlight switch, electrical connector.

To get easy access to these two electrical connectors, I did the following:

1) Remove the plastic door sill trim on the bottom. The plastic door sill trim is a long piece that starts as the driver side low kick panel and ends past the driver's seat on the bottom as sill panel. This snaps into and out of place.

2) Remove the door seal near the driver side kick panel all the way close to where the driver's side mirror is.

3) There is a plastic access hatch (that looks like it would hold a fues panel) on the side of the Dash. This panel snaps into and out of place. Remove this panel.

After step three you should have pretty easy access to the power pedel and headlight switch electrical connectors.

Just rememer to add a small 1amp inline fuse to the guage so the light in the gauge does not go POP.

Hope this helps.
