This isnt a big deal at all. But I wonder if anyone else has run into this, or is it just me. I had an Optix trans temp guage mounted in my truck a few months ago. I notice that quite often I have to rap it a few times with my fingernails to get it started with a reading. Otherwise it works fine. Does anyone else have this issue ?

Thanks

Similar behavior can be found in aviation gauges but is never a good sign. Theres usually something faulty with the gauge and sooner or later it's not going to respond to that tapping to get it started. Just my experience. Chuck
