trans temp sending unit

Those that have put the sending unit in the trans line, did you use the front line of the transmission going to the tank on the side of the block?

the transmission cooler line I got had a port in it for the sending unit---the line I replaced is the one that comes from the driver side of the transmission(coonects right in front(towards front of truck) of the kick down linkeage) crosses over in front of the transmission and extends to the cooler--it connects to the cooler at the rear of the cooler(rear of engine)--there's a check valve there that has to be removed if you have the whole line--you then reinstall the new line, which may or may not have a new check valve in it---hope this helps... . chris
