Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) trans temp sensor

were is the temp. sensor located in the auto trans? The service manual I have dosn't list it as even exsisting, Secondly, what is the correct ohm readings when testing it(if I ever find it)

Not sure on the ohm's readings but the sender is located in the transmission cooler lines towards the front of the transmission on the passenger side (if i remember correctly).

The 47RE used in the '96 and later does not have a trans temp sensor in the cooler line. That is used in the 47RH trans used in the '94 and '95.

hmmmmmmm... ... ... ... guess I learn something everyday and thats probably why his manual didn't list it being there.
