14,000 miles on 2005 truck w/automatic transmission. MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) is on ~ again. Went to dealership with the same symptoms at 5,000 miles. At that time the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) was P1751 (shift solenoid A?) & P1753 (?). They finally replaced the Trans Throttle Valve Actuator and all was fine - until now. Vehicle is sluggish, and revs higher before shifting.

Before taking it back to the shop I thought I’d ask if anyone else has had experience with this? Wondering if anyone knows what this is, or if there might be an underlying cause for this problem.

i been having the same problems after intstalling a shift kit and diode in my 05. something was causing the throttle valve to wig out and stick in the open position. the reason that your shifts are higher is because when it sticks open it has high line pressure and it thinks you are flooring it. I just switched to a suncoast valvebody and took out the diode and so far its workng fine. im not sure if you are running a aftermarket valvebody or not? but thats my experince. P1753 = Chrysler Transmission Throttle Valve Mechanical Performance

mine had codes p1754, p1749 and p0713

I'm having a similar problem, mine has a shift flare coming out of 1st and at light throttle gear hunts between 2nd and 3rd.

Does your shift rapidly from 2nd to 1st back and fourth constantly when the lever is in 2 at low speed in idle?

I had some problems with mine. Code 1751 and 1754. It was the throttle valve actuator at fault. I have some new problems now that I am trying to work out.

Are you running a diode or resister? I thought that my tva was at fualt also but since I have removed the diode it has been working fine and no more codes. I think the 05's with more computer controll are having some issues with messing with the electronics.
