Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transfer Case Fluids?

I have been using ATF+3 in my 99 but now +3 is gone. Whats everybody using now ?? Thanks

I used 75W gear oil, atf just seemed too thin. Seems to shift nicer too.

I've had good results with Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-30. Shifts much nicer than any ATF I tried including Redline synthetic.

I dumped the ATF years and a few hundred thousand miles ago. I'm running Amsoil MTF 5w30. Before that I ran Amsoil series 3000 5w30. I personally wouldn't run the heavy gear oils due to the oil pump but some do it anyway.

You should be running ATF. The pump for sure won't be able to pump anything thick like gear oil.
