My truck is up and running after replacing the rear main seal. Plus, doing the clutch and etc. whist in there performing surgery. Of course I have the few miscellaneous bolts and nuts left over, but what is driving me absolutely up the wall is figuring out where the hose that someone stuff in there when I wasn't looking goes. Or, perhaps it is a case of "sure I'll remember where to hook that back up... . doah!

The hose is 3/16 or 1/4 inch and comes off the top of the transfer case and runs toward the engine in the same harness holders as the 4-way transfer case switch connector. The hose has a steel tube shaped like a very shallow U about 3 inches long with a bracket tab with bolt hole on the end opposite the transfer case. Is this really off my truck? If so, any clues where to hook up the steel tube and bracket?:)

TIA

The bracket bolts to one of the bellhousing bolts it is a breather for the transfer case and only hooks up to the transfer case on one end. It stays open on the other end that bolts up with the bellhousing bolt.
