Oh Learned ones.
Some time back my 2004.5, 3500 long bed was leaking transfer case fluid at the tail stock and driveline yoke. I fixed it (I thought) with a new seal in the tail stock. Soon after the leak started again. Somewhere in these threads I've read that my leak may be a problem with a bushing in the tail stock but, I can't find that info. Can someone refresh my memory? Also, if I have to replace the bushing is there any guidance for doing so?
thanks

Just buy the whole tail cone as an assembly. The seal and bushing are replaceable, but it's much more DIY friendly to replace the assembly and not as costly as one might think.

Thanks Guys,
I like the idea of replacing the tail cone. Hope it is as simple a replacement as it looks from the outside.
Are dealers the only source for the tail cone or is it available from NAPA and/or others.
thanks again
Ed
