Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transfer case saver

Does anybody know where I can buy the transfer case saver (collar that replaces the snap ring)? Everywhere I have checked is on back order and I need to get my truck back together ASAP.



I have a snap ring but would rather fix it right the first time.

They are located in Las Vegas. Their number is 800-216-1632.

I called them about one for my transfer case and they told me that my T Case wasn't one that had problems.

There was a post on these some time ago that suggested replacing the stock snap ring with one for the Mopar 727 transmission.

Part #6025570.

It fits the groove better.

Yes you should. The stock snap ring is kinda like the KDP of transfercases.

Yes, I tried them as well as Quad 4x4. Both had them on back order. I have a snap ring so I guess I'll get it back together with that until I get the collar in the mail.

I went to our local dodge dealer and got one of the snap rings for the 727 and put it in. It is a stronger ring than the original and fits the groove better.

It was only about $6 as I recall.

Got it back together last night with a new snap ring. I have the collar on order and when I get it, I'll throw it on.



So far so good and I hope I didn't damage anything inside the case.



It was 8*F in my garage last night so I worked really fast!
