Hey Jayson.

There have been a couple guys, on another site, that have done the conversion to the manual lever. I did not read the 'how to' but it has been done. They may have posted a thread here too. Try doing a search. There are also a couple Dodge techs here that might be able to tell you how it's done.

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. I'll see if I can find something. Maybe if someone has converted it they will post. JH

My truck has the floor shifter and it engages and disengages instantly and smoothly at speeds as high as 50 mph... ... . (maybe faster I haven't tried)

my F-350 had the Knob and it left me stuck a multiple times because it wouldn't engage or it wouldn't disengage even when I'd back up and put in neutral I will never have another "knob" 4x4 again

Leverage.

I special ordered my '07 with manual transfer case even after contacting a reputable D/C tech who confirmed the electronic mechanism was not problematic. Unfortunately the ST was not available with power seats or I would have gone with it. As long as my right arm works,I know the sucker's gonna go into 4wd. The problem's the right arm.

Oo. I knew there would be someone around here that related to my concerns. Levers and linkage are pretty fool proof. There are people who absolutely will not have an automatic transmission, for that reason. I want to build up a 1st or 2nd gen. Dodge CTD plow truck and thought I wanted an automatic transmission. Now I am re-thinking 6 speed. WITH A LEVER TRANSFER CASE SHIFTER. jh
