Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Transfer Case

Is there a difference in the input shaft on a NP 241 from a 94 diesel and a 96 gas? They are both NP 241 DLD transfer cases. Thanks

Is the gas a V8 or a V10 ?



If it is a V10 the answer is def. no their is no difference cuz the trans for the V10 is the same trans as the Diesel it is the 47RH.



If was a 360 V8 you may have a problem but im not possitive. Check to see what transmission is in it and give a transmission shop a call if they dont want to help you keep trying until you get a answer.

I figured out the difference. The shaft on the newer ones are about an inch shorter and so therefore wont contact the seal on the 47 RH transmission. I got it figured out yesterday. The diameter of all of the shafts are the same. Thanks for the reply.
