Transfer Case

How hard is it to change transfer case oil? Would you use same oil as in front and rear diffs? Should I change it when I do front and rear diffs?

It's simple. I took the fill plug out first (to make sure I could get it off) then I drained it. Once empty I filled it with clean ATF 4. Didn't take long at all. Just don't over tighten the plugs and you'll be fine.

Just like JValdez said. It's easy. Take the bottom plug out to drain the oil. Reinstall the plug. Remove the top one and fill to overflow with ATF. I use a suction gun to get oil into the fill hole.

ditto on the suction gun. MUCH better then trying to pour a bottle in at that angle.

Just get a cap off a gear oil bottle then you can just squirt the atf in
