Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Transfer case??

Are a 94 and 98 transfer case the same ? Both 3500

As far as i know the only difference other than if its a Automatic or manual input shaft they are the same ,
The only difference is the " heavy duty " models have a PTO on them option
