Define fine Darrell, what kind of pressures are you seeing at idle and at WOT? I've talked to lots of guys that said the same thing until we put a fuel pressure gauge on it, then they turn green.
Steve, I haven't replaced mine yet either. See my sig. below, should I be concerned about my fuel presure?Should I put in a pressure gage,and/or lift pump upgrade? What brand or part # do you recomend?
IMO everyone with a 24v truck should put a fuel pressure gauge on their truck. I drove around on a dead lift pump for over 20,000 miles and didn't know it until I put a fuel pressure gauge on. In the first 60,000 miles I owned the truck I went through 4 lift pumps. I then upgraded my delivery system with a pusher pump (in addition to the stock lift pump) and that's been working great for 40,000 miles. Here's a link to the pusher pump setup on my truck - http://128.242.249.86/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19767 . If you do a search on here on "lift pump" you will have enough reading for a few days, lot's of other solutions have and are being tried as well. There's lots of options out there for fuel pressure gauges - just do a search on "fuel pressure". Here's a link to what I did on my truck: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6113 . Here's a link where we are currently discussing new information on minimum fuel pressures (8 psi at WOT under load, btw) - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36530 . I know of at least two of my friends that are on their 3rd and 4th lift pumps on '01's with less than 60,000 miles on them.

Edit: I changed the search from "lift pump*" to "lift pump" - for some reason the * isn't working. A search on "lift pump" came up with 1915 threads!!
I just finished putting the Nordskog FP gauge and sender on last weekend. Got it from Summit Racing. At the same time I put on Ray's banjo bolts and a new filter. The truck's got 31,000 on her. She's a 2001 model...
13 at idle. 14 when it's warm outside - don't know why that is?
12 cruising.
11 WOT But that's only WOT for 4 or 6 seconds. I gotta find some open road.
First one replaced by dealer due to recall. I think at about 3K. This one has been at the below posted level since I put a FP gauge on last summer. Actually, I picked up 2-4 psi at WOT when I drilled out the banjo fittings between the LP and FF housing a month ago. Was at 1psi at WOT before that.
11psi @ idle
7-8psi @ cruise
3psi @ WOT w/ load
5psi @ WOT W/O load
52k currently on truck
Plan on a pusher or single back at the tank in the next few weeks. Just trying to figure out which system I'm going to use.
Just got a new lift pump installed under warranty. No hassles. But I do have a question. The Westech gauge I have goes to about 16PSI. The new lift pump puts out 18PSI (idle)gauged by a mechanical gauge. At WOT (standard ISB) the PSI doesn't go below 14PSI. Are those pressures okay?
That one looks like a keeper. You might consider installing it back by the tank. It will probably live alot longer. You will need three Weber adapters (12. 5mm x 1. 5mm to AN-6 male flange)to do the conversion. PM me if you want the source.
Bob I just had a new lift pump put on Mike Brolins truck and he has the same fuel pressure gauge as you. His pegs at idle and runs around 13 to 14 lbs while driving down the highway.
