Competition Transfere case swap

How much work is it to switch from the light duty transfere case to the heavy duty on a 96 ram? Any there any parts i need to buy when i do the swap?

All you need to change is the output yoke.

And the length of your driveshaft

You don't need to lengthen the shaft, or I never have anyway.

nfox--if it's out of a manual you will need to do nothing 'cept install it--your shafts will work fine--the front will be lengthened and the rear compressed--they will do this with not mods--only other thing might be the carrierbearing mount may need a little attn as it might not line up, but I don't think you'll have that prob--I did when going from a light duty in my auto to a heavy duty out of a manual---chris
