transmission and Fuel Press. Gauges

Just purchased Diprocol transmission and Fuel P gauge from Genos. I was wondering exactly were to plumb them in. Where on the transmission? Do I have to drill and tap? On the Fuel Pressure what hardware do I need to get from the isolator to the line? Where do I tie into the Fuel line.



Any info would be appreciated, did a search and could not find what I needed.

I still have a couple questions.

Where can I purchase a "Banjo Bolt" and what size does it need to be?

Is placing the transmission temp probe on the side of the transmission ok? I do not really want to spend another $80 for a replacement line, or is there a few cheap fittings I can get to make it work with the stock lines, if so what fittings do I need?

The pyro was straight forward but the fuel and transmission gauges have me a little baffled on what hardware I need to get it all to work. Once I have everthing I need I will be good to go on the install.

Any help is appreciated

You can get them at Geno's. I think they even come with gaskets (you need 2 with each banjo bolt). I have my stock fuel system sitting out in the garage... maybe I should post some pics of the fittings on the ends so people will know what they look like?

I'm afraid I can't help you with this one other than the threads that come up under the search "+transmission +temp +sender" or "+transmission +temp +sending". I have a 6-speed, so I've no experience with the temp sending unit on these trucks. However, I did own a Bronco II several years ago with an automatic. To install a transmission temp gauge in that I pulled the pan, drilled a hole in it, and "threaded" in the 1/8 NPT sending unit. I say "threaded" because the metal in the pan was really WAY too thin to accept any threads. But it never leaked a drop and worked awesome. So if it were me, I'd pull the pan and drill a hole in a convenient spot and screw that sucker in there!

I called my local Cummins Northwest dealer and they have the banjo bolts, I just need to swing by with my gauge and they said they would hook me up with what I need.

As for the transmission I think I am going to put it into the right side. I guess there is a bolt you can remove and place the probe into to get a "wet" reading. I think that will suffice. I can't imagine placing the probe in the transmission line give you that much more "accurate" of a reading. It has to be with in 10 degrees or so. At least not for the $80+ line you have to buy. Just so I can monitor the temp and if it starts rising while I am pulling I will know to back out of before the transmission burns up.

So I think I am all set for the install, except I need the gauges to get here

I will post a few pics to help other out in the future when I am finished.
