Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission Band Adjusting Tool

Could someone please tell me where I can buy the 5/16 square socket that is needed to adjust the front band on my '97.

I got mine at Sears, but I bet any Parts Store or Tool Dealer could get it for you.

Here's a link ot one on the snapon website. It shows a 1/4" one, but you can select the size you need from the pull-down menu.

What you want is an eight-point 5/16" socket. To my knowledge, they don't make sockets that are actually square.



I also got mine at Sears, but any decent tool dealer should have one. You should be able to get one at your local auto parts dealer as well.

I had a Mac Tool vendor order me the 5/16 square socket a few years ago... Cost around 8 bucks at that time
